Small Business Consultations

The Small Business Centre will be onsite at the South Dundas Municipal Centre to provide free, confidential business consultations (by appointment) to new or existing business owners in South Dundas. These consultations will provide you with the information you need to get your business started and to grow it successfully.

Date: Each month, by appointment only.

Location: South Dundas Municipal Office, Morrisburg

This time can be used to:

  • Help you through any roadblocks in the planning process
  • Discuss your business idea
  • Assist you in evaluating your situation
  • Assess your strengths and weaknesses
  • Identify opportunities
  • Map out a strategic plan to help achieve your business goals

Representing businesses in the Morrisburg Village Plaza and surrounding area, the DBIA assists its retail and professional service businesses to succeed. They initiate projects to beautify the area, run festivals and events to draw patrons and advocate on behalf of members.

The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre helps business owners and entrepreneurs succeed in by offering information, tools and support during start-up and growth stages of business operation.

Dundas Federation of Agriculture

Not for Profit organization representing Ontario Federation of Agriculture Members within the County of Dundas. The DFA will continue to work on your behalf to reduce barriers that challenge our costs and markets, so that they can remain efficient, productive and competitive as farmers.

Cornwall and the Counties Tourism

As the main tourism marketing agency for the area, the organization produces an annual Visitor Guide and a cycling/scuba diving map, leads a number of online and magazine based promotional activities and represents the area at outside travel themed tradeshows.   

Your Arts Council

The regional group represents those in the arts and culture sector in Cornwall and SDG. Members benefit from marketing support, collective display programs and assistance pursuing arts and culture specific opportunities.

Advanced Manufacturing Fund

The program promotes continued growth and increased productivity of Ontario's advanced manufacturing sector by supporting large-scale transformative manufacturing activities, advancing adoption of cutting-edge technologies, establishing clusters or global supply chains and fostering collaboration between the private sector and higher education and research institutions.

Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)

BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs. They offer financing, venture capital and consulting services.

Canada Business

Canada Business Network promotes entrepreneurship and innovation, and provides assistance through an organized network of service centres across Canada. There is a centre in each province and territory working with partners in many communities across their region, providing you with numerous service access points.

Canada Job Grant

The Canada Job Grant helps employers train new or existing employees for jobs that need to be filled. This flexible program is designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes, in all industries and regions.

Community Futures Loans & Equity Investments 

Community Futures offers a variety of loans for start-up, planning and expansion.

Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP)

The Eastern Ontario Development Program (EODP) provides non refundable contributions to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations that are looking to carry out projects that aim to strengthen the local economy while creating jobs.

Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF)

The Eastern Ontario Development Fund gives money to businesses, municipalities and not-for-profit organizations for economic development in eastern Ontario. Sector focuses include advanced manufacturing, life sciences, processing, information and communication technology, tourism and cultural industries.

Starter Company

The Program partners young entrepreneurs with experts who will help develop the skills needed to launch and sustain successful businesses. Program participants are eligible to receive up to a $5,000 grant.

Summer Company

A unique program designed to engage, inspire and help young entrepreneurs prosper. By providing a chance to create their own small businesses, Summer Company allows students to be their own boss, develop business skills. The program appeals to creative, motivated youth because it could lead to personal growth and profit.
