Embrace Project

To enhance the experience of family caregivers dealing with the Addiction and Mental Health system, The Change Foundation is funding a three-year initiative that will bring together people, resources and ideas. The prime goals of the project, known as EMBRACE, are to expand the resources available to family caregivers... and have health care providers ‘embrace’ the important role family caregivers play in the recovery of their loved ones from addiction and/or mental illness.

If you’d like to get involved in this potentially life-changing project, contact the Project Team at 613-936-4676 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Public health involves many aspects of our everyday lives. In fact, many are surprised to see that the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) is involved in a wide range of areas including infection control, chronic disease prevention, healthy babies and children, environment, food and water safety, pandemic planning, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

The EOHU believe that when it comes to health and wellness, an informed person will become a healthier person. They are committed to providing our community with useful, practical and easily accessible information.
