On November 30, 2021, best-selling author, Doug Griffiths will join the South Dundas Economic Development Department in partnership with the South Dundas Economic Development Advisory Committee, for a special one-night keynote speaker event. Griffiths will speak about his book, philosophy and provide insight to the ways we can build our community.
Griffiths is the author of “13 Ways to Kill your Community.” A best-selling book that identifies the challenges and opportunities that rural communities face. His lessons are applicable to municipalities, organizations, volunteers, and businesses.
The 13 ways listed in the book include: Don’t have Quality Water, Don’t Attract Business, Ignore your Youth, Deceive Yourself About Your Real Needs or Values, Shop Elsewhere, Don’t Paint, Don’t Cooperate, Live in the Past, Ignore your Seniors, Reject Everything New, Ignore Outsiders, Become Complacent, and Don’t Take Responsibility.
