Spanish for Travellers

Get the most of your trip South!

A basic foundation in Spanish will open doors and get you help and smiles in Latin America and Spain, and get you to know the people and the places that you are visiting. And it might even save you money as you will be considered an “amigo”, and not a “turista” to fleece…

This course/workshop aims to have you practice and speak Spanish, and to remove the shyness and inhibition that comes from knowing that you are not speaking perfectly, at a native-level.

Spanish is easier than you think. For instance, each letter is always pronounced the same. And even if the verb conjugations might have complexities, in this course/workshop you will learn ways around that. Because you will learn not just the words and phrases you need to get from the beach or the airport to your hotel, but you will also learn about the mentality and the local culture so that you and the people of the land you are visiting end up really liking each other!

Your instructor, Edmond Marc du Rogoff was born and raised in Argentina, graduated from the University of Montreal, received a degree from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris and a PhD from the Sorbonne in Paris. He was an associate Professor at the University of Ottawa, speaks five languages, taught in four and has recently relocated to South Dundas.
