Recreation Basketball

Kickboxing is fun, fast-paced and exciting. Students will hone their punching and kicking techniques on punching pads, learn aerobic-type kicking and focus on strength and core training. All levels welcome.

Bootcamp is a co-ed class that offers strength, cardio, flexibility, core and agility training. This class is geared to all levels of fitness. Each class is formatted differently so you will never have the same class twice.

Ultimate Core

The word ‘core’ gets tossed around a lot, but it’s more than just crunches and sit-ups. Your ‘core’ isn’t so much a certain muscle as it is the working relationship between your shoulders, trunk and hips to stabilize the spine. Learn how to build the ultimate functional core with movement patterns and big lifts that improve stability, mobility and strength.

Hatha Yoga

Stretching and strength exercises, along with relaxation techniques, help to maintain and improve flexibility and physical health. Yoga helps to calm the nervous system, improve mental focus, and provide an overall sense of well-being.

Taekwon-Do

Taekwon-Do is a Korean martial art that teaches various kicks, punches, blocks and techniques used for the main purpose of self-defence. Through consistent training, students will experience improvements in physical fitness, balance and agility, self-confidence, self-control, self-defence, awareness and concentration. Discipline and self-effort are expected. Classes are led by Black Belt VIII Degree, Senior Master Ralph Marin.

Photography

Designed for the beginner who wants to learn the basics of digital photography and get comfortable with their camera.

Best suited for those with DSLR or Mirrorless cameras (cameras with interchangeable lenses) but the “point and shoot” camera owners might want to participate in anticipation of a DSLR purchase or just want to get the most out of the point and shoot.

​Emphasis is on Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed and its effect various types of photography, such as landscape, wildlife, street, macro and building photography.  Time will be spent on composition; the rule of thirds, negative space, leading lines etc. Hosted by John Lester.
