Mandatory Proof of Vaccinations in South Dundas

On September 22, 2021, Provincial legislation will require people to show proof of vaccination (full vaccination/ two doses + 14 days) in order to enter certain facilities and businesses.

What does this mean for the Municipality?

South Dundas will ask for proof of vaccination and ID when entering community facilities for recreation programs and private events. These places include:

  • Morrisburg Arena
  • Iroquois Civic Centre
  • Municipal Centre 3rd Floor
  • Matilda Hall
  • Dunbar Recreation Building
  • Riverside George Jowett Memorial Hall

You DO NOT need to have proof of vaccination to visit the Municipal Centre lobby at this time.

The Municipality is working with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit to try to better understand these requirements. As we gather more information, we will share with our community and user groups.

We realize these new measures can be challenging, but we ask that the community respect the Province's decision to make proof of vaccination mandatory and work with us to keep South Dundas safe.

Please note that the Municipality will enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for any harassment toward Staff. We appreciate your understanding.
