Third annual Awards of Excellence
The Municipality of South Dundas celebrated the local business community by shining a spotlight on the local businesses with the third annual Awards of Excellence.
The 2021 Awards of Excellence were presented to this year’s winners in a ceremony on November 15, 2021 at the South Dundas Municipal Centre and streamed live on the South Dundas Council YouTube Channel.
“This Award Ceremony celebrates the recognition that so many businesses and individuals in our community deserve,” said Rob Hunter, Economic Development Officer.
The 2021 recipients are:
- Business of the Year Award: Jay’s Tire and Repair
- Community Builder Award: Swank Construction Ltd
- Tourism Award: Upper Canada Playhouse
- Young Professional Award: Ryan Gilmer
- Agriculture Leadership Award: Henderson’s Abattoir
- Innovation Award: Alaboard FCR Corp
- Green Award: Ross Video Ltd
- New Business Award: Rijke’s Produce Farm
“The resiliency shown by our business community during these difficult times has been inspiring,” said Mayor Steven Byvelds. “I would like to congratulate each of the award recipients and all of the businesses who were nominated. The Municipality looks forward to celebrating more local businesses and people in 2022.”
