Municipality of South Dundas Receives $121,800 OTF Grant for Upgrades to Haldane Park

Coming to Haldane Park

Within the last 5 years at Haldane Park, an accessible swing set and recreation building with accessible washrooms were installed. Updating access to multi-use facilities in this park will continue in the spring/summer of 2024 with help from the Ontario Trillium Foundation Capital Grant stream.

Next spring, the Municipality will be using the grant funds to further extend accessible active play for our residents by installing a new and redeveloped multi-use court, designed with paint markings to support a range of activities. Additionally, a new fenced in volleyball court will be installed and will double as the outdoor rink in the winter.

These upgrades are in line with the Parks & Recreation Master Plan which aims to continue to grow and maintain recreation in South Dundas. This investment will increase the use and extend the life of the park, improve the space by making it more accessible and promote physical activates regardless of abilities and age.
