PUBLICATION: NEWS RELEASE
EFFECTIVE: APRIL 1, 2025

Double the fun with reciprocal borrowing.

Effective April 1, SDG Library and North Grenville Public Library (NGPL) entered into a reciprocal borrowing agreement for a period of one (1) year.

The agreement provides residents of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SDG) the ability to borrow physical resources (with some exclusions) and register/attend programs hosted by the North Grenville Public Library. Conversely, the residents of North Grenville will have the ability to borrow physical resources (with some exclusions) and register/attend programs hosted by the SDG Library.

“We are excited about this partnership and the benefits it will bring to both residents of SDG and North Grenville. Residents will have the ability to borrow items from two (2) library systems, ensuring our communities have access to a wider range of resources. This agreement doesn’t cover only books, DVDs and magazines, but also includes non-traditional items such as musical instruments, sporting equipment, games, and outdoor activity kits”, said Rebecca Luck, Director of Library Services for SDG Library.

Additionally, both library systems offer an extensive range of programs for all ages giving residents more variety and choice in program selection. “It really is a fantastic opportunity to discover and enjoy both library systems at no cost”, Luck said.

Any resident of SDG or North Grenville wishing to take advantage of this reciprocal agreement can find out more at www.sdglibrary.ca or www.ngpl.ca
